Poem: THANK YOU

Thank you, a word so simple and so kind,
That costs nothing, but is worth a lot to find.
It weighs not a gram, but its weight is grand,
It can soothe hearts and calm troubled lands.

In times of joy, in times of pain,
Thank you is a word that calms and consoles in vain.
It’s a balm for wounded hearts,
A smile for sorrowful faces to start.

The most sophisticated arms may fail,
But a simple « thank you » can change it all.
It can open hearts, it can create bonds,
It can make the world a more beautiful place beyond.

So let’s say thank you, without end or cease,
For small gestures, for great kindnesses.
Let’s say thank you, for joys and pains,
And the world will be well, it will be more humane.

Thank you, a word that has the power,
To make the world more beautiful, more gentle each hour.
So let’s use it, without hesitation,
And make the world a better place, day by day, with each iteration.
